This morning when driving into work there was some heavy fog. When I reached the bottom of the hill, things had cleared up nicely. I've been in a fog for about 5 days, I have many thoughts swirling in my head but when I sit down to write, nothing clicks.
Sometimes I think God allows us to be foggy to build our faith. Heb 11:1 says, " Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see". I always want to see clearly and know what is happening, but life just isn't like that, things don't always make sense. It is in those times that I believe I draw nearer to God, not just to understand what is happening, but to know that He is still there even in the silence.
If you are feeling foggy, just remember we do have a "foghorn" - it is blast to the heavens in the form of prayer. We just need to stay focused, have faith and believe that soon we will see our way clear.
